ABOUT

The 2026 (40th) Hayes Forum will be held throughout Ohio Union, with oral/talk presentations and poster sessions running from 9:00am - 12:30pm.

The Edward F. Hayes Advanced Research Forum (formerly the Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum) showcases the innovative and exemplary research being conducted by Ohio State graduate students and postdoctoral scholars across the full range of graduate degree programs and research topics and facilitates fruitful exchanges between graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, the administration, and the public.

Cash prizes, totaling more than $17,000, will be awarded to the top-judged presentations in each academic area for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. There will be separate sessions for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, as once again Hayes enthusiastically welcomes the participation of postdoctoral scholars through paper/oral presentation sessions.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Council of Graduate Students, the Graduate School, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, and the Enterprise for Research, Innovation, and Knowledge (ERIK), with additional organizational and operational support from members of the Office of Student Life events planning staff and student organizations staff.
